We had a great hunt on the day before Thanksgiving with Father Patrick and some of his friends. They showed up right around 12:30 pm. We had loaded up Skinny, Little Red, Bull, Brutus, Humper, Dexter along with catch dogs Rascal and Goofy. As we are going over the ground rules and signing the waivers, my brother and Dad call me and tell me there is a good boar back on the south fence line. I tell everyone to load up and head that way. We get down there and the boar goes right past us then tur...

We had Father Patrick Serna out for a hunt this past Friday. He brought along a few guests to watch the action. We loaded up Jed, Speck, Blaze, June, Brutus along with catch dogs Rascal and Goofy. We turn out down on the southwest corner. All the dogs go out a few hundred yards and open up (as we are hunting my open pack of dogs). The run for a good 5 minutes and we hear them go to baying. We drive around to the gulley and they have a nice 75 lb sow caught. Father Patrick jumps into action an...

Well Father Serna brought more of his buddies out hunting on Saturday morning. So we loaded up Pinto, Red Dog, Brutus, Dacon, Skinny, Dexter with catch dogs Zeus and Tough. We start around 8 am and it is nice and cold but windy. We decide to turn loose in the southeast corner again and hit the east thicket as I figure the hogs will be bedded down. We turn loose and after a good 5 minutes, we have two bays going on. We drive around to the sendera coming from the middle pond. We have one hog ca...

We had our hunter from Wisconsin to come back and hunt with us. Dad and I loaded up Bo, Smoke, Little Red, Bull, Curly along with catch dogs Zeus and Goofy. We head over to the land and turn loose into the middle of the east thicket. After a few minutes, we hear a squeal. We drive around to the east fence line and hear a hog squealing in a brush pile. We get in there and the dogs have a small shoat caught and we take care of it. Bo rolls out and catches another shoat by the back pond which Br...

We had our friend from Canada come out with some of her relatives for another hunt with us. Dad, Norma Jean, Brennan and I loaded up Lep, Speck, Blaze, Dacon, and Little John along with catch dogs Zeus and Goofy. We head over to the place and turn them out into the east thicket. The wind is gusting around 40 mph from the north. Dogs head in there and in about 5 minutes, we have a few races going on. Lep and Dacon head toward the north section, Speck and Blaze are in the middle section and Lit...

We had a couple hunters come in with Jason for an afternoon hunt. Dad and I loaded up Pinto, Lep, Smoke, Speck, Blaze along with catchdogs Zeus and Rascal. My brother had his two catchdogs as well along with Jason’s three dogs. We get over to the place and see a hog down at the far end of the big sendera. We drive towards him and I tell Jason to go ahead and drop his dogs. Hog breaks into the brush and heads back east. I go ahead and drive around to the east thicket and turn out. In a f...

We had a hunter from Alabama to come out and hunt with us. He works with our buddies at Dynamic Oilfield Services who told him about us. NormaJean, Dad, and I loaded up Bo, Red Dog, Smoke, Little Red, Bull with catchdogs Tough and Goofy. We headed over to the place. We see hogs crossing the big pipeline sendera going southwest. I was a little worried as I knew it was a large herd and didn’t want all the dogs running their own hog. We turned loose and all the dogs headed southwest then t...

On Sunday morning, we had another group of guys come out, with one hunter wanted to take a hog. My wife, dad and I loaded up Bo, Lep, Smoke, LittleJohn, Dexter, Dacon with catchdogs Zeus and Goofy. We headed over to the place and I turned out the dogs into the middle section. After 10 minutes, Smoke goes to baying then LittleJohn chimes in. We drive to them and I see Bo running up the road toward us. I know this is not good because Bo never comes to us when there is a bay. We get there and th...

We had our hunters from Minnesota show up at 8 am on Friday morning. The ground had a lot of dew and the weather was in the 60’s but would be warming up throughout the day. My dad and my wife helped me load up Bo, Red Dog, Dacon, Little Red, Bull along with catchdogs Tough and Rascal. We headed over to the place. I decide to drive around before turning out. We see two good boar hogs cross the sendera heading into the southwest section. We cut the dogs loose, they head east and our movin...

On Sunday, we had a hunter from Louisiana come out. We loaded up Bo, Red Dog, Dacon, Little Red, Bull with catchdogs Zeus and Goofy. We headed over to the place around 10:30 am. We drove around and seen hogs crossing the back sendera heading into the south end of the east thicket. We had the wind and turned the dogs loose. They winded the hogs and headed that way. We heard Red Dog bark once and then about 5 minutes later, we hear the squeal close to the fence line on the east side. My wife al...
